What is Forest School?
On a Thursday morning our second year children by prior arrangement, may attend our Forest School session . This takes place from 9.00-11.30am.
“An inspirational process that offers children opportunities to achieve, develop confidence and self esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a local woodland environment”.
The Worcestershire Forest Schools Initiative has delivered sessions to children in a variety of sites throughout the country since year 2000. *Children from 3 years upwards have benefited from the gentle challenges and positive atmosphere, increasing their confidence and self esteem. It is a happy session, giving confidence development physically, socially and educationally in the Orchard and back in their Pre-School setting.
"Forest School" sessions are always weather dependant and therefore at the Manager's discretion. Generally Forest School will primarily take place during the Summer term when the Year 2 children who wish to attend, are old enough to be able to manage to attend Pre-School for the whole day.
* children aged 3+ who are in their final year at Pre-School year.
