A typical day at Pre-School…
At around 9.15 am
It is time for the Registration and the Supervisor will ask children to be seated on the blue coloured floor mat. To encourage safety and discipline, children are asked to sit with their legs crossed and hands in their lap (this avoids any little fingers being squashed by other children taking their places). The Manager will read out each child’s name and each child is encouraged to respond to indicate their presence. Generally a couple of staff members also sit with the children during registration. During registration, one child will be selected after reference to a rota, to stand with the Manager and to count the number of children in the hall on that day.
With Registration complete and records updated, it is time to do the Weather Chart! Another child is again invited, after reference to a rota, to participate in this exercise. The child will stand along side the Supervisor and be asked to choose a relocatable picture from the weather board which represents the weather for that day, also the day of the week.
