A typical year
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is the first part of the national curriculum focussing on children aged 0-5. The philosophy underpinning the EYFS is that learning should be planned with an emphasis on fun, relevant and motivating activities i.e. play. All providers are required to use the EYFS to ensure that whatever setting parents choose, they can be confident that their child will receive a quality experience that supports their development and learning.
At The Lenches Pre-School we follow the EYFS and include an example of activities we have explored with our children in recent years within this section of a 'Typical Year'.
